At Duffy Motors, we are very proud of our city centre location. In an old railway arch between the Gmex Centre and the Beetham Tower, our garage is just a short drive away from major road links like the Mancunian Way, Princess Road and Chester Road.

Our convenient location also means that there is a lot to do while you wait for an MOT. If you are coming in over the festive period, make sure you check out some of these things to do.

Camp out at the office

Most of our regular customers like to leave their car with us and head to work in the city centre. They drop the car off in the morning, head into work on foot or on public transport, and return later in the afternoon or the evening on their way home.

You can leave your car with us all day if you want to. And avoid those expensive city centre car parking fees.

Last minute Christmas shopping

Left it all to the last minute? Don’t worry. Located just next to Duffy Motor’s city centre garage, the Great Northern Warehouse has a fine array of independent shops to satisfy your friends and family.

There are other great shopping areas close by as well, including Spinningfields, King Street and the Manchester Arndale.

Christmas markets

In case you hadn’t noticed, half of Manchester in covered in Christmas market huts this year. The stand that really stands out for us is one near Selfridges selling Christmas dinner in a Yorkshire pudding wrap.

Duffy Motors city centre garage is just a short walk from Albert Square, at the epicentre of the festive celebrations.
